I grew up in Quincy and Wollaston Beach and the Clam Box was popular. On the first date I took her to the Clam Box 38 years ago. This is an area favorite and if you like Whole Belly Clams, you will not be disappointed! I found the price to be reasonable for the item and the staff were friendly. All I can say is that my clams were Delicious and I was glad to have stopped by. The indoor area where we were was not very spacious, but again, with regards to Covid-19, there was enough room for several patrons, and we sat by the window overlooking the outdoor dining area and across from the beach.

Your clams arrive on a plate in a large cake-like box. We arrived during the 3 O'clock hour in the afternoon, so it was not difficult to get a seat. Yummy! I scarfed the clams down, one by one, leaving little room for some french fries and less for the cole slaw. I immediately dug my first clam into the tartar sauce and tasted the juicy and hot clam go down. My wife got some fish and chips, but I wanted a plate of Whole Belly Clams, which came with a side of cole slaw and french Fries. Clam Box currently, under Covid restrictions, offers limited inside dining, and also outside dining. Driving in the Quincy / Weymouth area, we stopped at Wollaston Beach on a Saturday afternoon. Whenever I come back to Massachusetts, I always look for a place to get some great Whole Belly Clams, and the Clam Box was my choice this time.
